David Gerstein is a celebrated Israeli artist best known for his unique post-pop art style, which is characterized by bold colored, multilayered cutout steel. His paintings, sculptures and illustrations have been exhibited in various museums, galleries and public venues around the world. His most notable public sculpture to date is Singapore’s Momentum sculpture, currently Singapore’s tallest public sculpture.
Cycle for Unity is honored to have been gifted one of Mr. Gerstein’s original pieces – one that captures his passion for cycling and the sport’s ability to unite individuals “of all stripes” – for use as our logo.
“My earliest memory is of my mother riding a bicycle. That made me an avid cyclist for the rest of my life.” – David Gerstein
