Ronald S. Lauder Foundation
The Ronald S. Lauder Foundation is committed to rebuilding Jewish life in the parts of Europe where the destruction of the Holocaust was followed by the oppression of Communist rule. Though the Jewish community in these areas may be small, their men, women and children are determined to live fulfilling Jewish lives once again.
The Foundation focuses most of its resources on Jewish schools, camps, and community centers as the ideal vehicles for Jewish renewal. This approach is rooted in the belief that by bringing Jewish life to the communities’ children, the children will in turn bring their newfound knowledge and passion home to their parents and help restore their families’ proud Jewish heritage.
The Ronald S. Lauder Foundation proudly operates and/or supports 62 programs spread throughout 15 countries: Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, and the Ukraine.
